Schedules For This Weekend
This week, teams are returning back to play after taking two weeks off.
Howard University Women’s Rugby is looking to build on their winning streak as they head out to York College in Pennsylvania. In their last game, they took down a Division 1 University of North Carolina team, 59-7. Howard University Women should be an overwhelming competition for a smaller York College team. Look for Howard University to also give their second team some warm-ups, as the B-Side will also take on Georgetown at York College of Pennsylvania. If you have time, go watch them play in York, PA, and support their run back to a 2nd consecutive national championship.
Prairie View A&M Men’s Rugby will be protecting their house as they take on Trinity University of San Antonio, TX. Prairie View A&M took down Stephen F. Austin, 49-0, on September 30th. After taking a week off, they will look to continue their Fall season on an upward progression with another big win. If you happen to be in Prairie View, TX, go check them out on Saturday, October 14, 2023.

- There are some new HBCU Rugby teams that are preparing to enter into the system. Southern University Rugby will be kicking off in Spring 2024. Tennessee State University is preparing to open practices for 2025. Coppin State and Bowie State are actively working to be active for Fall 2024. If you know someone who would be attending any of these universities, help them consider joining a rugby team at any of these programs. Keep them informed
- We are looking for 17-20 year old, women’s rugby players who have attended, currently attending, or plan to attend an HBCU or Black College. We are looking to put together a women’s Rugby 7s team to take to Bangkok, Thailand to participate in The World School Festival on December 10 – 18, 2023.
